During my recent stay at Albergo del Lago in Bellano, I found it to be an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers. Located conveniently near the train station, the hotel offers easy access to both Varenna and beyond, keeping travel costs low. For just €1.40, I hopped on a train to Varenna, and the beautiful Lake Como was only a short walk away. The room was basic but clean, featuring a flat-screen TV and reliable free Wi-Fi, which made my stay comfortable. While there's no air conditioning, I didn't find it necessary during my rainy visit. Each morning, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which included delicious croissants and coffee. The shared bathroom was well-maintained, and I rarely encountered a wait. The owner, Lello, worked tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly, adding to the hotel's welcoming atmosphere. Albergo del Lago provides a great balance of value and convenience for any traveler exploring this enchanting region.
